Job Description:

​

Spiritual Leadership and Preaching

• Provide Christ-centered, Bible-based sermons and teachings, on Sundays 

• Lead Adult Sunday School

• Lead Wednesday Evening Bible Study 

• Foster spiritual development initiatives.

Pastoral Care and Counseling  

• Offer spiritual guidance, counseling, and prayer support  

• Nurture the congregation’s spiritual well-being and provide mentorship to ministry leaders.

Church Administration and Leadership  

• Oversee church staff, ministry leaders, and administrative personnel, ensuring alignment with the         church’s mission and vision 

• Coordinate worship services

• Oversee Church Budget Development

• Attend staff and committee meetings as needed

• Ensure compliance with church policies.

• Train and equip lay leadership/Deacons

• Support Youth and Children ministries

Community Engagement and Evangelism    

• Encourage outreach and evangelism, fostering a sense of community within the church and extending ministry efforts to the wider community

Qualifications

• Ordained minister is a plus 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent theological education is encouraged but not required

• Prior pastoral experience of at least 5 years is preferred but not required, (includes preaching and         staff supervision)

• Strong biblical knowledge, spiritual maturity, and personal commitment to Christ.

• Leadership, administrative, and organizational skills to manage church operations effectively.

• Commitment to ongoing personal spiritual growth, prayer, and professional development.

• Alignment with 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 and Baptist Faith & Message 2000
